WHOLE LOG METAL DETECTOR – SQUARE APERTURE
The METAL SHARK® BIG with its square/rectangular tunnel is specifically designed for large items such as logs, bales and recycled wood.
It is typically installed with a flat-belt conveyor or with a specially prepared vibrating conveyor.
The detector is custom-built to match the conveyor profile and log diameter, with aperture sizes from 510mm to 2540mm (20” to 100”)
Sensitivity* from:
- Typical Fe: ø M4 at edges
- Typical Non-Fe: ø M6 at edges
- Stainless: ø typically 20% larger than non-ferrous
* Typical sensitivities depend on the specific application setup and the type, size, and distance of metal contaminants relative to the sensing faces
