Shredder Tips

CXS hammer tips are either cast in I’Anco Alloy 3A and quenched and tempered to a through hardness of 444BHN or they are forged from 4140 Alloy steel and again quenched and tempered to a target hardness of 444 BHN.  To further enhance the life of the tips we hard face the cutting edge with Tungsten Carbide chips embedded in a Chromium Carbide hard facing material.
